Hula Camp

Hula Camp:  July 27-31, 2015
9:00 AM – 12:00 PM  |  Ages 5+

Hawaiian Hula is all about dance, music and culture. Hula Camp is your chance to connect with everything that makes Hula the beautiful expression it is today. We’ll explore the history and traditions of Hula while learning how the intricacies of Hula Dancing involve the hands, eyes, hips and legs. How hands describe the story, eyes give life to the story, and movement of the feet and hips speak of rhythm and power. This is going to be an incredibly fun camp…and we’ll cap it off with a Hula Celebration around a beach bonfire at the end of the week.

Coastal Music Studios is proud to present our second annual “Christmas 4 Kidz” benefit concert, on Friday, December 19th, 2014, 7:00 PM, at the Star Theatre in Downtown Oceanside (402 N. Coast Hwy). The program will feature 120 performers, including the 80-voice North County Children’s Choir (a free choir for 2nd-8th grade singers here in North County), the Star Kids Show Choir, and the Carlsbad Performing Arts Center Ballet Nutcracker Suite. This year we have partnered with the Star Theatre to expand the reach of this event.

This concert will be full of Christmas Carols, Holiday Songs and dancing. A perfect evening out for families and anyone who is a fan of Christmas!

Christmas 4 Kidz is a benefit concert by kids to help kids here in San Diego and around the world. We accomplish this by featuring charities that have an emphasis on serving children both here in San Diego County and internationally.

The more we learn about playing music, the more we understand just how important it is for all the other learning we do in life. Check this out…

“When you listen to music, multiple areas of your brain become engaged and active. But when you actually play an instrument, that activity becomes more like a full-body brain workout.”
